Tracking Implementation Outcomes of an Intensive Case Management Program for HIV: Protocol for a Mixed Methods Study

Tracking Implementation Outcomes of an Intensive Case Management Program for HIV: Protocol for a Mixed Methods Study

Each of the 3 measured outcomes (fidelity, reach, and sustainability) will have its own set of questions, with fidelity being the most finely tuned, with an initial probing questionnaire that will eventually develop into a mature and finalized version. Fidelity is a crucial outcome that we will closely monitor, as it ensures consistent program implementation across different settings.

How the Behavior Change Content of a Nationally Implemented Digital Diabetes Prevention Program Is Understood and Used by Participants: Qualitative Study of Fidelity of Receipt and Enactment

How the Behavior Change Content of a Nationally Implemented Digital Diabetes Prevention Program Is Understood and Used by Participants: Qualitative Study of Fidelity of Receipt and Enactment

To fully understand why interventions are ineffective or effective we need to understand whether these interventions are designed, delivered, and received as planned (fidelity). Without an assessment of fidelity, the reported effectiveness of an intervention could be a function of either an effective intervention or the influence of other unknown factors added to, or omitted from, the intervention [19].

Changes in a Digital Type 2 Diabetes Self-management Intervention During National Rollout: Mixed Methods Study of Fidelity

Changes in a Digital Type 2 Diabetes Self-management Intervention During National Rollout: Mixed Methods Study of Fidelity

This study explored the fidelity of the national rollout of Healthy Living to the original He LP-Diabetes intervention. Intervention fidelity is defined as the extent to which an intervention is delivered as intended [16]. Without good fidelity to the original He LP-Diabetes intervention, there would be no strong justification for the implementation of Healthy Living, and reasons for intervention effectiveness would be unclear.

An Alternative to Traditional Bedside Teaching During COVID-19: High-Fidelity Simulation-Based Study

An Alternative to Traditional Bedside Teaching During COVID-19: High-Fidelity Simulation-Based Study

Simulators can be classified according to the degree of realism known as fidelity. High-fidelity simulators provide the user with immersive and often complex scenarios with a high degree of realism [9]. Low-fidelity simulators replicate the real world to a lesser extent and include part-task trainers, for example, an inanimate model of a limb to allow learners to practice venipuncture skills [9].

A Multifaceted Intervention to Improve Medication Adherence in Kidney Transplant Recipients: An Exploratory Analysis of the Fidelity of the TAKE IT Trial

A Multifaceted Intervention to Improve Medication Adherence in Kidney Transplant Recipients: An Exploratory Analysis of the Fidelity of the TAKE IT Trial

While evaluations of intervention effectiveness have not yet been performed, in the meantime, we sought, as planned, to examine the initial fidelity of the intervention’s ability to engage KT recipients beyond the point of care through the use of monthly invitations to complete brief portal assessments that allowed them to report on their regimen adherence and any specific concerns.

Fidelity to Program Specification of the National Health Service Digital Diabetes Prevention Program Behavior Change Technique Content and Underpinning Theory: Document Analysis

Fidelity to Program Specification of the National Health Service Digital Diabetes Prevention Program Behavior Change Technique Content and Underpinning Theory: Document Analysis

Intervention fidelity is used to describe whether an intervention is delivered as intended [15,16]. Without an assessment of fidelity, it cannot be ascertained whether intervention effectiveness, or a lack thereof, is because of the intervention content or other factors added or omitted in the intervention delivery.

An Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Program for Anxiety and Depression (Tranquility): Adaptation Co-design and Fidelity Evaluation Study

However, few web-based interventions have been reviewed by therapy experts and have demonstrated treatment fidelity to core evidence-based CBT treatment protocols. Treatment fidelity is defined as “the extent to which an intervention is delivered as intended by the protocol” [10,11].

Harnessing Innovative Technologies to Train Nurses in Suicide Safety Planning With Hospitalized Patients: Protocol for Formative and Pilot Feasibility Research

Harnessing Innovative Technologies to Train Nurses in Suicide Safety Planning With Hospitalized Patients: Protocol for Formative and Pilot Feasibility Research

The gold standard methods for training require considerable provider and expert trainer time for didactics, skills practice, fidelity or quality assessment, and feedback or coaching sessions [22,32,33]. Therefore, continuing education generally requires taking large amounts of time away from work at considerable financial costs to the trainee and their employer.

Effects of ACT Out! Social Issue Theater on Social-Emotional Competence and Bullying in Youth and Adolescents: Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial

Effects of ACT Out! Social Issue Theater on Social-Emotional Competence and Bullying in Youth and Adolescents: Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial

Interrater reliability for fidelity coding was excellent (96.5% concordance). Fidelity to the intervention was high for all grades, though some seventh- and tenth-grade classrooms were not able to proceed through all 5 scenarios due to timing constraints. These instances were noted distinctly from fidelity because they resulted from longer-than-expected time completing the pretest survey immediately prior to the intervention, a factor that would not exist outside of the study.
