Barriers, Facilitators, and Requirements for a Telerehabilitation Aftercare Program for Patients After Occupational Injuries: Semistructured Interviews With Key Stakeholders

Barriers, Facilitators, and Requirements for a Telerehabilitation Aftercare Program for Patients After Occupational Injuries: Semistructured Interviews With Key Stakeholders

Results from a multicenter study indicate that work-related aftercare and conventional aftercare following outpatient treatment in rehabilitation centers have contributed to substantial improvements in the quality of life and work ability in patients with severe work limitations from baseline to 6 months [24] and 12 months after the start of aftercare [25].

Implementation of Remote Activity Sensing to Support a Rehabilitation Aftercare Program: Observational Mixed Methods Study With Patients and Health Care Professionals

The Valens Rehabilitation Centre has recently developed a novel inpatient routine aftercare program, designed to prepare patients for this transition, named the Stay With It program (Swiss German: Bliib dra program). Complementing inpatient rehabilitation treatment, it combines motivational interviewing techniques with detailed action plans for promoting physical activity following rehabilitation.

Effects of COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Intensive Care Unit Survivor Telemedicine Clinic on Patient Readmission, Pain Perception, and Self-Assessed Health Scores: Randomized, Prospective, Single-Center, Exploratory Study

Effects of COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Intensive Care Unit Survivor Telemedicine Clinic on Patient Readmission, Pain Perception, and Self-Assessed Health Scores: Randomized, Prospective, Single-Center, Exploratory Study

Telemedicine has the potential to reduce nonattendance to hospitalization aftercare in this cohort of patients. Approximately 70% of patients completed posthospitalization visits during the pandemic, consistent with findings prior to the pandemic [21]. However, the proportion of telemedicine encounters increased exponentially to compensate for the decrease in in-person visits [22].

The Effectiveness of Telerehabilitation as a Supplement to Rehabilitation in Patients After Total Knee or Hip Replacement: Randomized Controlled Trial

The Effectiveness of Telerehabilitation as a Supplement to Rehabilitation in Patients After Total Knee or Hip Replacement: Randomized Controlled Trial

In Germany, patients are offered numerous aftercare options, such as the multimodal intensified program (IRENA) or training rehabilitation aftercare (T‑RENA), but only about half of eligible patients take advantage of them [15]. Therefore, to improve the sustainability of postoperative therapies, more flexible and individualized offers need to be developed.

Mobile Phone Access and Preference for Technology-Assisted Aftercare Among Low-Income Caregivers of Teens Enrolled in Outpatient Substance Use Treatment: Questionnaire Study

Mobile Phone Access and Preference for Technology-Assisted Aftercare Among Low-Income Caregivers of Teens Enrolled in Outpatient Substance Use Treatment: Questionnaire Study

Caregiver participation in aftercare may be improved when aftercare is transitioned to the community; however, previous research on aftercare following outpatient services has not disentangled child and caregiver rates of participation [10]. Research suggests that aftercare services for parents of youth discharged from outpatient substance use treatment are important; however, offering clinic-based aftercare services may not be effective due to poor participation [9].

A Mobile Phone App Featuring Cue Exposure Therapy As Aftercare for Alcohol Use Disorders: An Investigator-Blinded Randomized Controlled Trial

A Mobile Phone App Featuring Cue Exposure Therapy As Aftercare for Alcohol Use Disorders: An Investigator-Blinded Randomized Controlled Trial

In light of available evidence, it was hypothesized that the experimental CET aftercare groups would achieve superior outcomes (such as alcohol consumption, urges or cravings, and coping skills) compared with active controls treated with aftercare as usual. It was an explorative research question whether a CET mobile phone app was noninferior to the group therapy.

Implementation of a Web-Based Work-Related Psychological Aftercare Program Into Clinical Routine: Results of a Longitudinal Observational Study

Implementation of a Web-Based Work-Related Psychological Aftercare Program Into Clinical Routine: Results of a Longitudinal Observational Study

Work-related medical rehabilitation (WMR) focusing on the workplace situation has been implemented successfully but needs to be complemented by work-related aftercare interventions to support rehabilitants during vocational reintegration [5]. However, evidence has been mixed. First, studies with intensified work-related orthopedic rehabilitation aftercare have not proven to be effective compared to aftercare without a focus on work-related topics [6].
