Dyads of parents and transplant providers caring for a child awaiting a heart, liver, or kidney transplant were recruited from the Children’s Hospital Colorado, Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia via an in-clinic, email, or electronic medical record (EMR) invitation. Parents of a child being transplanted for acute organ failure or retransplantation were excluded.
