private message (ie, a message sent between users, not published on the OHC and only seen by moderators if reported by a user) was against the rules and when contacting users, the moderators mentioned that they often referred to a published set of community guidelines, which users agreed to abide by when they signed up to the OHC:
If I get an inappropriate post, I review it to make sure what part of the terms and conditions it’s breaking, then I’ll delete the post and then I’ll send a warning to the member, via e-mail

Participants were compensated with a CAD $25 (US $17.91) e-gift card for their participation. Similarly, we conducted telephone interviews with health care providers who followed the same consent process as survivor participants. Each interview lasted 15 to 20 minutes. Health care providers were also compensated with a CAD $25 (US $17.91) e-gift card for their participation.
We hosted a half-day online community engagement event via Zoom in October 2022.

Family Caregiver Perspectives on Digital Methods to Measure Stress: Qualitative Descriptive Study
This included contacting previous study participants participating in a digital peer support program for caregivers of people with motor neurone disease [32], snowball sampling, social media (X, formerly known as Twitter), patient charities (ICUSteps and Motor Neurone Disease Association), the King’s College London weekly research volunteer e-circular, and through E-Carewell (research program of digital support tools for carers run by Ulster University).
