JMIR Mental Health Accepted for MEDLINE Indexing

(Toronto, December 20, 2023) JMIR Publications is pleased to announce that JMIR Mental Health (JMH) has been accepted for inclusion in MEDLINE, which is the U.S. National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database.

JMIR Mental Health had already been indexed in PubMed previously. MEDLINE is a more selective subset of PubMed, consisting of the top 5,200 biomedical journals. Indexing in MEDLINE also means that articles are now also indexed with NLM Medical Subject Headings (MeSH terms) and other metadata.

Selection for MEDLINE is a result of a thorough review of the journal by reviewers from the Literature Selection Technical Review Committee (LSTRC). As stated in their selection criteria, "scientific merit of a journal's content is the primary consideration in selecting journals for indexing. The validity, importance, originality, and contribution to the coverage of the field of the overall contents of each title are the key factors considered".

We congratulate the JMIR Mental Health editor-in-chief, Dr John Torous, and the editorial board for this success which validates the importance and quality of this distinguished JMIR Publications journal.
