JMIR Mental Health Accepted for Scopus
(Toronto, Mar 1, 2020) We are happy to announce that JMIR Mental Health has finally been accepted for inclusion in Elsevier’s Scopus. Seven years after JMIR Mental Health published its first article, Scopus advised JMIR Publications that the title will be accepted into their database of journals. Other JMIR titles indexed in Scopus include the Journal of Medical Internet Research, JMIR mHealth & uHealth, JMIR Research Protocols (also just accepted after a 7-year waiting period); other JMIR titles are still "under evaluation." Scopus is used by more than 5,000 institutions worldwide and JMIR Publications is glad to be included, although we have to warn researchers that Scopus is including new journals only with significant delay (7 years!) and also appears to be heavily biased against open access publishers. Thus, we are not recommending their products for scientific work such as systematic reviews. Elsevier is currently setting up JMH and it should be searchable in Scopus shortly.
