Detecting Suicidal Ideation on Forums: Proof-of-Concept Study

Detecting Suicidal Ideation on Forums: Proof-of-Concept Study

While monitoring for suicide prevention, it is prudent to “cast a wider net,” meaning it is fine to see a few false positive overhead, up to an acceptable level, for the sake of not missing suicidal people. It has been shown that half of all suicides are likely to occur in lower-risk groups [7].

Satisfying Product Features of a Fall Prevention Smartphone App and Potential Users’ Willingness to Pay: Web-Based Survey Among Older Adults

To design such a fall app, it is necessary to determine potential users’ expectations regarding such a fall prevention smartphone app. This study investigates which product features potential users expect of a fall prevention app and how these features would contribute to users’ satisfaction with such an app. A Web-based survey was performed questioning older adults who were not participants in a prior fall prevention–related study conducted by the authors [21,30].

Know Your Epidemic, Strengthen Your Response: Developing a New HIV Surveillance Architecture to Guide HIV Resource Allocation and Target Decisions

To guide HIV prevention and treatment activities up to 2020 and beyond will necessarily require developing a new surveillance architecture that better delivers and leverages high quality HIV surveillance data. We must plan for more sustainable, country-led, action-oriented HIV surveillance platforms that can serve both local decision making and global reporting and modelling needs.

The Quality and Cultural Safety of Online Osteoarthritis Information for Affected Persons and Health Care Professionals: Content Analysis

For patients, online health information can help people learn about disease prevention or management, prepare them to interact with the formal health care system, supplement advice from health care professionals, connect them to others with a common health concern, link patients with their own health records, or support those without access to care [1].

Designing a Culturally Relevant Digital Skin Cancer Prevention Intervention for Hispanic Individuals: Qualitative Exploration

Designing a Culturally Relevant Digital Skin Cancer Prevention Intervention for Hispanic Individuals: Qualitative Exploration

Yet, despite these disparities, skin cancer prevention and education efforts are understudied among the Hispanic population [12]. Alarmingly, Hispanic individuals are less aware of the symptoms and harms of skin cancers, tend to have misperceptions regarding the risks and benefits of skin cancer prevention behaviors, and engage in less sun protection behaviors than non-Hispanic White individuals, and only 18% of Hispanic individuals report ever having done a skin self-examination [16].

Evaluation of Prompts to Simplify Cardiovascular Disease Information Generated Using a Large Language Model: Cross-Sectional Study

In this cross-sectional study, we evaluated the completeness, readability, and syntactic complexity of CVD prevention information produced by GPT-4 in response to 4 kinds of prompts. A set of 25 questions about fundamental CVD prevention topics was drawn from a previous study, which found that the GPT 3.5 version of Chat GPT provided generally appropriate responses [2].
